U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian cautioned lawyers about excessive reliance on artificial intelligence after erroneous AI generated citations found their way into a court filing. His concern went beyond accuracy. He raised a more uncomfortable question: what happens to the development of younger lawyers when technology begins doing the work through which lawyers traditionally learned to think?
